I'm wondering if there's a way to create a meter, or at least a spinning cursor during new message scans? I've got some pretty big message bases, and if there's no mail for a user, they're kind of stuck for about 30 seconds during a
new message scan if there's nothing for them.

I'd like to show some activity or something while that's going on.

Normally, each sub's group/name scrolls by as its scanning, like this:

No, but I think I know why. After a little log investigation, I forgot I was using DDMsgReader, which is called when it does a new message scan, and which apparently handles the scan.

So, carry on, false alarm :)
