Can someone post their syntax to put in Synchronet for the following archives: arj, arc, and lhz, lha

Are you running in Windows or Linux (or another OS)? If you're running in Windows, this page has my archiver command lines: http://www.digitaldistortionbbs.com/digdist-pages/SyncArcGuide.html

Ah, as you're running Linux, some of the command lines may still work with the Linux versions of the archivers, but I'd recommend double checking to be sure.

I downloaded the linux versions, and changed the names. like you had like arc32, I changed it to just arc. I didn't have most of those archives downloaded, but I did find linux versions for all. I ran ./addfiles and it looked like it worked! :)

What about the 'test' field? Do you have a blueprint for that? (think it's test or view?) it's in the same section/area as the extract and compress in scfg Regards,

scfg doesn't have a 'test' field for archive configurations. Are you

I think this means "Testable Files" under "File Options" in SCFG.

scfg doesn't have a 'test' field for archive configurations. Are you thinking of the 'signature' field in echocfg? That's only available in echocfg (not scfg). I saw some 'signature' settings for some types other than zip either on the wiki or posted on Dove-Net:
    ARJ: 60EA, offset: 0
    ARC: 1A, offset: 0
    LZH: 2D6C68, offset: 2

The help (F1) for Testable File Types gives details on what the program's return value should be (0 for no error, anything else to indicate a problem). The pattern would vary from one archiver/dearchiver to another; you'd have to see which options each one has.

I was wondering if someone did what Nightfox did for the 'Viewable' and 'Extractable' archive types, and had added a list of all archive types and their syntax... I added the ones NIght Fox did for his Windows Machine, changed the file names to the linux equavalent and it worked.. but still need the ones for 'viewable'
