Yeah I'd have a Ford, if it met my needs. Just joking around here.
:D
Mustang. Just like Carl Kolchak's (circa 1974). The only worthwhile goddam Ford. It's high on my bucket list to even drive one.

Which means you will soon be in trouble if you are like me and do not want a truck or an SUV. I drive a Ford now, but my next CAR will be something else.

The Kias I've had a close look at seem good. Drove a friend's Kia people mover several years ago (so they could have a few drinks) on a 4 hour road trip and it was nice to drive, handled pretty well too.

My dad purchased a Kia when they were new to the U.S. market. He had trouble with it, especially the transmission. That was decades ago, and I understand they've improved since then. So, I'm guessing you've had good success with them.
Decades? I think I only remember seeing Kia in the US for maybe 10-15 years or so.

1994, according to the Internet. That was in Portland, though. A dealer was opened in Oklahoma sometime in the 90's (a little later than that), if memory serves.

That's the one we use here. When you see a vehicle pulled over on the
side of the road it always seems to be a Ford. Mind you Ford is also
the most popular make here.

Ford's TV commercials here keep talking about Ford being the #1 brand in America, but I've heard the reliability for their cars is not so good. Their trucks, on the other hand, I've heard tend to be fairly reliable.

what i've always wondered is if ford has the best reliability and highest resell value, why are folks selling them? sounds like a scam to me ;)

There are many reasons someone might want to sell something.. For a Ford, maybe the vehicle just wasn't a good fit for someone, maybe they lost their job and they can't make the payments anymore, maybe they just want something different, etc.. Just because someone is selling something, that doesn't mean there's something wrong with it.
