Hello Everyone, I posted this in the sysops only group but got no reply.
I thought maybe I was in the wrong group so I reposted here in hope I might get an answer.
I switched internet providers from Xfinity to Centurylink. Now I cannot get to the BBS from outside through another xfinity location. When I ping the local address I get a different address from the remote computer. When I first set this up it worked for about 3 days and now nothing. Anyone have any suggestions?

Do you know your public IP address? Have you tried http://vert.synchro.net/scanmyports.ssjs to test your open ports?

And that IP address seems to change.
I am at work now so I can't get into the BBS to get

The best way to resolve a hostname to an IP address is to use the proper tool (e.g. "host" on Linux, "nslookup" on Windows). "ping" can work, but it's also going to try an ICMP echo request, so it's not really the right tool for the job.
When you say "ping the bbs machine locally", I'm not sure what you mean.
And that IP address seems to change.
If you're saying that the public IP address of your BBS computer (or gateway) changes, that is somewhat normal.
I am at work now so I can't get into the BBS to get

cpugod.synchro.net has this info in the synchro.net zone file:
75.169.169.147 ; 5adea85f Mon Apr 23 2018 08:45 pm
Which means it hasn't been updated since April-23. Make sure the 'dyndns' timed event is running on your BBS so that the hostname (cpugod.synchro.net) points to your current public IP address.

Hey DM, Hawkeye gave me the clue. The is an option on this modem called UPnP NAT-T: which was enabled. Once I disabled it traffic was free to
come in and Synchronet was able to do the DYNDNS. It's working now.
