I forget the name, but know theres an app for routing terminal text to the comms and Sync (or other) BBS software can route all that to the user.

Synchronet can intercept standard out of any program. Doesn't need "an app" for
    that: http://wiki.synchro.net/howto:door:index

Is there any reason why DRL (Doom, Rogue-Like) couldn't be an online door game??? Its very simple... and most like the UNIX rogue game.

Dunno. If it uses standard in/output (stdio) and uses ANSI terminal control sequences, it should work great as a door.

I'm not talking about the ASCii/text DOOM ports that use libraries and are more heavily graphical. (Altho that would be even more rad!!!) But, DRL is very simple and more like old DOS text games...

Lastly, can someone update me what that app IS that sync uses to push terminal text to the BBS user? Thanks thanks thanks.

Are you thinking of SexPOTS maybe? That "app" is a serial/modem to Telnet gateway program and really has nothing to do with pushing text.

it depends on how that program is set to display to the user.

very simple and more like old DOS text games...
