Is this poll a general question, or are you asking which is better for Synchronet? Just curious because this is posted in the Synchronet Discussion sub-board.

I'd say either Windows 10 or Mac OS X, I think both are good.

Better for what? Windows-based PCs, whether 7 or 10, are good for
certain applications. Likewise Macs and Pi.
If you're just referring to operating systems only, Windows (whether 7 or 10) is better IF you have a PC. If you have a Pi, Os X and Windows aren't
Any computer system family (PC, Mac, Pi) has real-world applications for
by gating that shit to another bbs you are taking away your bbs individuality and the fun of running it all. might as well just forward from your domain to another bbs.
My setup is Win10/x64, the BBS is running on a Windows XP VM. My plan is to move it to a dedicated Linux box (Mint or Debian probably).
The only reason I kept the board on Windows for so long was for DOS compatibility, but now that most games you can remote to other boards for, I've just nuked anything DOS based or non-JS, so now I can just move the whole system to any platform and not have to worry about breaking door games. :P

Running on a Windows 10 VM, but I want to move it to UbuntuServer as a VM. But I read there is no LFN support in SynchroNet 3.x but it will come in 4.0 for all platforms (is this going to happen soon?).
I read and searched but could not find any migration document or tips.
LFN support (new filebase) may happen before v4.
