There is nothing 'incredible' about Wildcat I have a copy and updated t version 8. From a BBS side nothing has changed since version 5 when th purchased Wildcat from Mustang software. Synchronet is better and makin Synchronet anything like Wildcat is a step backwards.

I am likely going to get a v8 cd from them and unlink from AUP. It was a childhood curiosity to own a WC licence since I was 15. Got it at age 36 wit V7, but V8 cd will be my last for awhile.

WILDCAT! helps me run my business. Does everything for me. I wouldn't be the man i am today without it. Do you know hospitals use it?

Thank you Wildcat! and Santronics software!

So you think it's false advertising then?

Either that, or Wildcat was used at some point in time and in some capacity within some department of these companies, or within a smaller company that they later acquired. Maybe Verizon used it to run some intranet-ish thing way back in the day but
haven't been running it for decades now.

So you think it's false advertising then?

Hospitals & such may have bought a Wildcat license, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're currently using it. A hospital may have decided to move on to something that works better for them.

If someone had built a full-fledged mail client into a BBS package, FD plus a BBS would have kicked ass over the other LAN-based email clients out there. I remember running WordPerfect Office and Quickmail, and the amount of work needed to keep them from
melting down was considerable. FD would have just worked.
