    Hello everybody!

I just got an unexpected opportunity to see how the various PC's here respond to suddenly losing power. It seems that the power company decided to come out unannounced to change out the meter. No knock on the door. No mail notification.
They were nice enough to leave a doorknob tags stating "We were here".

As I expected PC's did restart and check for stale semaphore files prior to restarting BBBS and Mystic.

    Hello Havok,

They were nice enough to leave a doorknob tags stating "We were here".

    How nice of them!

I would much preferred a "We will be there on <Date, Time>. tag.

    Time for a UPS unit....

I used to have years ago a UPS that had 8 large deep cycle batteries in it. I don't recall it maximum run-time. It was used in a power company for their in-house phone/computer system.
