OK this is pretty sweet but did notice prompt 535 is not called when I use
the menu command to check drafts yet, am sure you knew but wanted to post anyhow!

If you're using the /SCAN option its not supposed to display anything if there are no drafts. It will display 535 if there are.

If you're not using the scan option, then it should never display 535.

What are you using?
