• MIS Logging

    From Avon@21:1/101 to g00r00 on Saturday, March 31, 2018 21:09:33
Question, feedback and a suggestion - it's a three in one combo. :)

Where is the file size and the style of logging (rolling / size) set for mis.txt in \logs dir?

What I am seeing are two files being created a mis.txt and a mis.1.txt
They both seem to grow to just 1,024kb and then overwrite so the total amount of logging is pretty limited.

Perhaps mutil.ini [general] stanza could be expanded to include an option for the sysop to set similar logging options for mis.txt and fidopoll.txt and
other server logs in the same way as they can for mutil?

Or perhaps do as suggested above but set these in a mis.ini so as to avoid
any confusion with what is already in place with mutil.ini ?

    Best, Paul

It'll be in the System Configuration. There is probably going to be a "Logging" section that has settings for node logs, and mis.

A filter for spam bots attempting to connect in the mis.log would be nice too.

I would like to see real life caller attempts while I am working on issues
    that arise.
