I am haveing a wired thing happening on the bbs

when you log in yo get the list of new mail ( as when a new user enters the bbs)

I get the Yes / No prompt to read Yes is selected as there is new mail ..

yet when I hit Y or enter ( on the Y) it dums me to the main menu

this goes back and forth from working to not working ...

To Clarify a bit. It's the Y/N prompt for reading personal/netmail/email
mail. Whichever you want to call it. I've got 2 messages on his board I haven't been able to read for a month at least. It doesn't matter if it's during the login sequence or if you go to the message menu to scan for mail. It will show you the messages, but Yes to read them will take you either to
the main menu if it's during the login sequence or to the Message Menu if you activated it from the message menu.

Echomail reading and writing works just fine.

Yup, I've had that happen more than once during alpha testing. Generally it resolves itself over time (alphas get better and fix it). As I recall there
are two search commands in Messages C and G, try them both. Otherwise look at the part of the header it shows for a message number and the message base and go look for it. The message will be there.
Are you running A38?
