I'm setting up a lightbar/grid for my main menu and there's two columns I've set up like so:

Account Settings InterBBS Chat
Messages
Files
Games

I can move up and down the left side fine but when I have Account settings highlighted and I press the right arrow key to move to InterBBS Chat I get disconnected completely. I have the proper command # set up for Account Settings right arrow key.

If I set the menu to just lightbar I can scroll through all the items fine.

Kinda stumped as to how a right arrow press could disconnect me at all.

Okay, so I think I've figured out what's wrong here and seems like it may be
a bug. The 4 commands on the left are menu id 1-4. InterBBS Chat is menu id
34, but in between them are a few I've deleted. So my main menu doesn't have
a menu id 19 plus a couple others. So when I try to move to a menu id greater than one that is deleted it disconnects and the log says error 216.

So it almost seems much like message bases need the messages to be packed and reordered, the same goes for menu id's.

I'm going to try editing my main.mnu and see if I can change the command id's and see if that fixes things...

Success! Edited my main.mnu and changed every command to be in succession.
And now everything works properly on a lightbar grid.

Yeah, I kept meaning to tell g00r00 about that. It seems a menu with an out
of sequence ID set of commands doesn't want to work with lightbar, you have
to manually text edit the .mnu file and reorder it yourself to get it to
work.

Hopefully he sees this thread and can fix it? Dunno.

I've never used lightbars but am converting my setup and just ran into the
same thing. Of course Google is useless in a situation light this so thank goodness for being able to search old messages <g>
