a couple more filebase issues.

this is on a38 in 64-bit linux. i assume i'm probably the only one doing stuff like this in the file bases, but edge cases are fun!
in case this matters, according to allfiles, i've got 9956 file bases and the latest filebase id in the file base editor is 10043. mutil 'sort file bases' status shows 10001 file bases.
1. the file base editor has stopped working. i can open it and scroll
through the list but i can't actully open any entries to edit them. i also cannot exit from the file base editor (it requires a hard close of the app, either killing mystic -cfg or doing a disconnect from the bbs when accessing
it that way). it's also displaying things very funkily:
ID File Base Description
9378 Zines - FICTION-ONLINE Poetry, The rn
9379 Zines - fight this generation ne Show
9380 Zines - Fingal's Cave tal rection erse
9381 Zines - Flippersmack ters ation n Supply
9382 Zines - Fondle My Balls aph Line ackers
9383 Zines - Free Word Press, The 1.x) on
9384 Zines - Frost Warning rch G. 2.x) ez ot
9385 Zines - f*ck the world m, The s, The e
9386 Zines - FUNHOUSE! Idiot List urrito
9387 Zines - funky llama club e etter, The ez
so when scrolling, it's not correctly updating the display and isn't clearing out areas that aren't overwritten by the current screen.
file areas still work fine (with the aforementioned ftp problem notwithstanding). i can browse files, get them, view archives, jump around
in the bases, mass upload files, etc. so it doesn't seem like fbases.dat is corrupt since everything else still works (although i guess that's possible)
or if going over 10000 filebases has caused an unforeseen glitch. fbases.dat is available if it would help looking at stuff.
2. the file index lister no longer works in global configuration (this
started happening before the aforementioned file base editor issue). it does the calculating statistics dialog, shows the template but then displays no areas. any keypress results in a disconnect from the system. logs just show:
An error has occured (216)
Shutting down
using the file index lister when it is set to only show the current group still works fine.
thanks again,
k
