I really like the indexed message base and file base readers. I'm curious why you elected to build those into mystic and not as mps? The reason is because I'd love to reuse the code in mps to do other things. :) Or perhaps to change some of the functionality.

Is there a performance reason why this wouldn't be suitable for mps? If the answer is no, would it be a huge lift to replicate in mps?

MPL doesn't have access to all of the stuff Mystic uses (yet) such as a listbox type class which those readers use. It would of course be slower in MPL, but since the statistical calculations are available in MPL it might not be too
bad if only the listbox class were added.

What code specifically are you wanting to use? Everything but the listbox class is already in MPL. I need to get that in.
