    Second this. I'd love
To go to a node and select something that auto pushes a filefix and or
areafix view. Also, maybe have the areafix user auto saved in the config when they areafix,

I realize that isn't standard but hey we are mystic and do what we want

Not that I know of. But it's something I think I added in a wishlist some
time back from a HUB operations point of view. The ability to initiate
locally generated areafix/filefix requests on behalf of a node(s) in some fashion would be nice to have.

Couldn't you use the "[PostTextFile]" part of the Mutil.ini to post a locally created text file as a Areafix message.

No, you specify the area that you want the text of the file posted to and the name and AKA and subject. And the contents of the text file gets posted to only that message area.

I just posted a text file as a netmail message and it was sent out to the destination address as private netmail.

The only question would be if Mystic would look at the netmail as an incoming Areafix message and process it as such. Time to test that theory by sending myself an Areafix netmail.

What is it exactly that you want to do? You can assign bases to nodes both in the message base editor and through the echonode editor too.

Are you asking about doing a rescan for a node so they don't have to? If that is what you're asking them no, you can't do that (yet).

I believe what he may be referring to is actually processing areafix commands (as a hub, for a node) via the command line (HPT has this, so I can give you
    an example:

    hpt afix 21:1/100 +*

Would activate all message areas in zone 21 for 21:1/100, etc.. and all
areafix options available to nodes are usable this way.

In Mystic you can just select them, add, and tag all of the bases from the UI. I don't see a reason to also add a command line version unless there was a way to create echomail nodes though some automated process.

The benefit is the HUB admin can force the creation of an Areafix / Filefix netmail reply at the same time as the manual command line option is processed by Mystic. Doing it from MYSTIC -CFG will not produce the same results.

What's the likelihood of adding a +ALL to areafix? That would be incredibly helpful. Or +*

    To add all echoes.

I was just explaining what I /thought/ the original poster meant. However,
the only argument I could come up with in defense is that it would be 10x faster to do it via command line than it would be sitting there in the UI tagging bases. *shrug*

You can always just go into your message base editor and add/remove the
desired node in the "Export to" section of that echo.
