where i am at, is how do i create this sub menu and attach it, or get the main menu to see it as avalid swlection?
thanks
i know this is a newbe question, sorry about that...
Firstly don't be sorry, questions and requests for help/info are welcome here :)
I am also going to forward my reply to the FSX_MYS echoarea after replying
here in FSX_GEN as it's very much in keeping with the focus of that area - Mystic BBS Support/Dev.
Briefly, what you want to do is create a new menu in the menu editor, add the menu commands for the specific menu to it, then save that new menu. It was
have a name you gave it when you created it. Then edit your main menu (and
any other menus you want to add your new menu to) and add a new command to
the main menu that calls the new menu up by it's new name.
e.g.
In my main menu I have the option of going to a message section on the BBS by pressing the M key. Here's how my main menu command list option for the M key looks.
Display Text ³ (M) Message System
LightBar Low ³ Message System
LightBar High ³ Message System
Hot Key ³ M
Access ³ Up ³ 0 Escape ³ 0 Display Type ³ Access Down ³ 0 Tab ³ 0
X Y ³ 0 0 Left ³ 0 PageUp ³ 0
Timer ³ 0 Right ³ 0 PageDn ³ 0
Timer Type ³ Interval Redraw ³ Yes Home ³ 0 End ³ 0 Command ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Access ÄÄÄÄÄ Data ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
(GO) Go to new menu message
So you can see the menu options are fairly basic and the key thing is the
menu command GO and it's pointing to a menu to go to called 'message'
I will work on a video for you for this as I can see the benefit of doing
more on menus. I did do one that covered this a bit but perhaps I need to do some more on it. :)
Best, Paul.
