I've got a downlink who is using Irex (yeah, I know), and is unable to connect to my system. I've checked the session password and that is correct. I've tried playing with the session options, but his end is still complaining that there's an authentication issue.

Does anyone know what settings are required on both ends (Mystic my end, IRex on the remote) for a successful session?

I have had it working before, I think I ended up disabling encryption.

Yeah, Irex is a pain, should be buried with the dinosaurs. :) I've tried that setting, but will keep trying. :)

I am running Irex on my OS/2 box and it connects to my Mystic BBS using
BinkP and I have no issues at all. I could review my settings if you'd
    like.

That might be helpful, though I'm not on the IRex end. Thanks. :)

Would also be useful to know what settings the Mystic end is using as well.

I will do that this evening after I get home. I'll get the settings
form each end and send them over.

On the Mystic end, it seems to be basic settings except

    Cram-MD5: No
    Hide AKAs No

Otherwise it's pretty much the same settings I use for other polls that are
    not iRex.

On the iRex end, interestingly enough I have
    NR Mode: No
    Cram-MD5: Yes
    CRC Mode: Yes
    MD5 Mode: Yes

    of course, matching default domain

The polling works fine and have worked for a long time, they are over a LAN, not over the internet, but that should not make a difference.

OK, thanks. I've changed my end to suit. Will pass on the info to the Irex end. :)
