Bah. The reference for MPL would be awesome if I actually had a slight
working knowledge of how to go about structuring a coherent script in MPL,
    but I don't.

Anyone able to create a beginning of a script that would help me fill in the blanks? I'd need something that would read an rlogin username and password on initial login, stuff those into the new user account creation process
bypassing all user input, and creating the account (if new). If not new, just ignoring the info and passing the login process back to the BBS.

Would really appreciate this, as I feel using Mystic would make DoorParty
about a million times better with what direction I want to take it. Thanks in advance!

I'm not entirely sure that there's an MPL method for reading incoming RLOGIN data.

There is not, or least has not been let known yet from the previous releases since the rlogin/ssh are new to mystic so they are prob not in the data structures yet.

    Hi Gryphon :)

Do you happen to know if there is a way to use MPL to export a message out
from the full screen editor to .txt file?

Your thinking cap broke? Go in to Local Test type, save and then X to export
it to whatever *.txt you want. Can also do ANSI that way.

The normal X from a message is one way. Look at the current automessage.mpl from g00r00 as it uses the full screen editor with spelling checker.

No :) I'm aware of X from a user point of view, I am not aware if it can be called within a MPL script and if so, how.

Yes, I do know the answer to this. The answer is no. This is something that I've asked g00r00 for for a few years now.

The only thing I can suggest is that if you are in the full screen message reader is to do the 'X' command while reading messages. This will prompt
you for a filename, and then it will proceed to download the file to you.
What it will not do is save the message locally to the BBS machine.

Yeah, like I said, there is nothing that can do that through MPL. Again,
this is something that I've asked g00r00 for. Many times I've asked.

Now having said that, I do know that RJ Clay has written a JAM.pm perl
program that will read and post messages to JAM message bases. At one time,
I was using that to extract messages from the dovenet SYNCDATA conf to get
bbs list entries. If you are inclined enough, you can install jam.pm and incorporate perl calls using MenuCmd() or some such.
