So, as some of you have probably noticed there are a couple of areas in the configuration where the screen is quite cluttered and there isn't room to expand.

The biggest one is the message base editor, and I want to add a few more options to it which means I need to figure something out.

Does anyone really hate the paged style the user editor uses? I am considering switching over the echomail nodes and the message base configuration to use a style similar to the user editor.

And if not that style, then I need to come up with something else that gives room to grow.

I'm fine with that idea, keep the UI consistent so if it's applied already in another area then I think it's fine to do the same here.

That's because there is an awesome developer, who is adding so many goodies
    for us! ;)

I would have no problem with that. Seems like a reasonable way to handle it.

Speaking of the user editor, I have a couple questions on some of the options...

The 'E-Mail' and 'Validated' options. Is there going to be a way in the
future to validate the email addresses that are entered?

I'm sure this was something left over from earlier versions, but is the 'File Ratings' field used anymore?

    Thanks,

Sounds good to me as well.

Is there an account e-mail validator mod that Mystic handles? I am looking into something like that.

I'm not overly fond of the user editor pagination. If I want to go to the
last tab on the left, I have to scroll through each other tabbed pages. Now,
if you were to do something where I hit the TAB key to take me to the next
tab page, that would be helpful.

I don't mind the user editor, actually.

Yes. The plan is to have the option to e-mail validate built in instead of having to use MPL or Python to do it. You'll be able to optionally automatically upgrade them to a new security level when its validated, or you can use an ACS command to test whether or not they have validated their e-mail anywhere within your BBS.

The second plan is to allow password reset via e-mail as well.

These are pretty easily accomplished via MPL today, but I would like to have them built in.

It sounds like some might not be aware of this...

You can press HOME/END to jump to the first and last categories. You can use PAGEUP/DOWN to move between categories similar to TAB but with the ability to move back and forth. TAB would only do the same thing as PGDN does now, but I suppose I could make that association as well if people felt it was needed.

I was also planning to add F1-F<whatever> keys to jump directly which is something I experimented with in Mystic2, depending on how well it worked with various terminals.

And finally, Mystic (and its config) supports remote mouse as well although right now its pretty broken because I'm redoing it to be more widely supported outside of NetRunner. This means you'll have mouse clicks where you can just click the topic eventually.

I found out, by accident, that you can use the PgUp and PgDn keys to change
to the next tab. That's what I've been doing. ;)

That's fantastic. A number of terminal apps I use over SSH do this and it's really handy.
