• New PackUserBase function

From Caphood@21:1/112 to All on Friday, December 08, 2017 19:20:04
I mean WOW.. The new PackUserBase function of the default mutil.ini
finally removed ALL my deleted user records in the A37 pre alpha.
I've been wanting to be able to do this since 1962. Thanks James.

I have to agree with you there, albeit I only had one test user I deleted.
    But it worked! ;)

I didn't even realize I had anything like that until you posted this message. Then I realized I needed to copy the new mutil.ini over from the latest prealpha package.

g00r00: That said, can update.txt contain any default text files or config (.ini) files that were updated and should probably be at least acknowledged?

    [ a couple mins go by ]

I just looked at whatsnew.txt, and now feel stupid. I should probably read
    that more often! ;)

    Regards,
    Nick

Yea.. before updating first i looked at my existing mutil, ini to double check and all functions to perform on startup were set to false so it was safe
to copy over after the upgrade and make a new ini called : packtheusers.ini with it set to true for PackUserBase .. ran it and BOOM now my user base is
all clean and tidy. Love it.

This is proof that this whole debacle is not my fault since I wasn't born
yet in 1962! I knew it!

Glad it didn't blow up your BBS! Sorry it took so long! :)

Yep, same here. Also, seems as though mbbsutil is going to be on it's way out at some point, so there will likely be another time or two where we'll have
to copy over the default mutil.ini as well when it's all migrated to mutil.
