Is it possible to intercept an rlogin and force an account creation with no prompting to the user? I want to move away from GameSrv for the DoorParty server, to have a more interactive and cohesive door server.
The author is an awesome guy, but the support is extremely intermittent (not a bash on Rick at all, I know it's a hobby and people have lives).
I really wanted to go with MIS2 when g00r00 announced rlogin support,
but I don't think he's going to implement auto account creation, for
some reason. Auto account creation is kind of a must, since it needs to
be seamless for the user, and also takes away username choice (BBS tags are necessary and wouldn't work with that).
Tried Synchronet as well since I thought I read in the rlogin note
changes that it auto-created accounts on successful rlogin with username and password, but evidently it doesn't, just starts the new user app process.
Anyway, if anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks!
Actually you can, my entire new user process is an MPL and the use of StuffKey which allows one to stuff a string as well if needed.

Awesome, this gives me hope. So I'd need to run this on the login menu, before any other commands are processed? If I can do this, I'm definitely switching to Mystic as the door server. Just need to figure out MPL. I have a reference, but it's kind of old, at least two full versions ago. Still, it should work, I hope. I'm gonna take a look into trying that
now.
If I need help, I know who to hit up =) Thanks again man!
look at the apply_sample.mps in your scripts
is you have a newusers.mpx it will ran instead of the normal application.
Yea - I've never looked at that. Thanks for the heads up reminder.
Might be something a bit better than my custom one and may have
better features. Ill have to see.
