Have to post shorter messages as NNTP doesn't allow and will cut off:

If you look a line :

NNTP 1-S in the before and after logs: you will see on saying: 211 0 0 0 name_of_echo

On the rebooted server and mis2 daemon you see:

NNTP 1-S 211 34 1 34 name_of_echo

There are 34 messages in that echo also. So it seems to be misreading the number of messages. Look at that line in the logs and compare and this should give you some more insight.


I also changed message base settings, timeouts in NNTP, and gave full permissions to those message base data files all to no avail. Same issue.
