Prealpha again to fix some IP & country blocking/IPV6 wierdness.

Getting close to A36 full release I think! And A37 should get rid of MIS entirely.

Also telnet when connected shows like this, is this maybe the reason unable
    to know what country?

    19:07:39 TELNET 2-Address ::FFFF:BB90:9A0B

SSH shows the entire ipv6 address:

    19:07:01 SSH 1-Address 2601:08C0:4280:1C81:020C:29FF:FE10:ADC3

Not sure how it all works but tossing this out there.

I'm uncertain if to update the HUB the reason being I really want to retain
the custom bsy logging you created for me. The hope being when the day
arrives again for the lockups (which frustratingly have not happened since putting in the modified .exe files) then the issue can be caught.

Do you think when A36 does come out I can continue to run a slightly tweaked version of the files such as the ones you have provided so I can keep that
    bsy logging alive?

I think the only settings outside of "MIS2 Servers" configuration that are used by MIS2 is the BBS domain setting. Everything else has been relocated to each server's configuration. I think MIS2 uses "blacklist.txt" and "whitelist.txt" but I'd have to double check

The country blocking is now a local database instead of using a service, so once you have the database there is no configuration outside of a "Yes or no" in each server's configuration.

I haven't figured out what to do about blacklist DNS yet, but that will be
more important when I enable outside e-mail via SMTP.

I think this will only happen more too if we try to adapt the same approach

For now I am just not going to worry about it in MIS2 - most people seemed only really interested in the country blocking anyway, and I have that covered now.

You can wildcard them to block entire subnets already. Its not the same
thing as a range and it doesn't use standard notation but it should give you the ability to do some wildcarding.

Probably not such an issue with IPv6, where the most common ranges are /64 or bigger, which can usually be done by a simple wildcard (though a /56 won't) - /64, /48, /32 and /16 can be handled with a wildcard.

For IPv4, there's a lot of odd ranges around. My own range is a /29, which is a pain with the existing system, because I'd have to add each individual IP address to whitelist.txt.

I am updated the A37 prealpha for Windows, Linux and OSX. No Pi :(

Remember to upgrade from A36 to A37 there is a data file change.

*Please* do not attempt to create a HTTP, PYTHON, or SERIAL server. I accidentally left those and a few other "work in progress" or experimental things in this build - and I don't have time to rebuild them now...

The last time I forgot to "disable" a few things (the work in progress FTP server) people created one anyway and it caused problems for them and sent me on wild goose chases later when the FTP server didn't work for them! Please don't do that :)

    I am updating pre-alphas again.

This built has changed to the FS editor template to allow users to save draft messages so they can continue them later. Mystic already creates drafts if a user times out or loses connection, or if Mystic errors when saving a message, but now users can do it too.

Also, the beginnings of the echomail ACS system are active, although only one part of it is enabled. I added the "subscribe/read ACS" to message bases first only because it was by far the easiest to do. More to come though!

I also made some changes to the default install to include an option on the message menu for draft messages.

I did spot a little thing. There is a one second difference in the time stamp displayed within mystic -cfg vs. using mystic -ver from the command line.

I downloaded the latest Win32 1.12 A40 (on 12/13/2018) and it has the
same timestamp as the last one (2018/12/11 00:00:45 generated from "mystic.exe -ver") even though the file itself was newer than the last

Are you sure there wasn't a user error where the file wasn't copied over?

Yeah the compilation times for each executable is generated as its compiled,
so MIS will be slightly different than MYSTIC and slightly different from MUTIL.

The different OS timestamps will vary too. Typically just having the day is enough because I usually don't update them more than once a day except for
    rare occasions.

User error? By me? Egads! Probably {chuckle} my update script detects changed files on your site and copies them to a mirrored area, then copies Win32 changed archives to my Mystic update folder, ready to install. The next time I ran it it worked fine, so dunno what happened {shrug} but will not post to you if it happens again without verifying things first. Sorry 'bout that.

The update script is run manually so I know when to update something, usually after a note from you concerning updated files :)
