• Ansi Character

From Captain Obvious@21:1/157 to All on Thursday, September 22, 2016 20:01:00
This is only partially a Mystic question. Running on Windows 10 32 bit on my desktop and the last few days stuff is looking weird. Occasionally
some messages and taglines are showing up as junk on my end. For instance,

... "Не знаю. Я здесь только работаю."

I'm at a loss as to how to fix this. Having the same issue when my weather station converts the ansi degree code (alt167) it changes it to some weird characters. Rather than using it I changed it to just use the word degrees.

In Windows 10 you need to be running the server probably best in legacy mode
so when you open a command line window open the properties and select Use Legacy Console then restart the command prompt and server and see if that resolves the issue.

I'll take a look in the morning. The server is actually now running on a Windows 7 machine. I access it remotely.

Yes, that's what I am on (my desktop).

Not sure if it's a Mystic problem or my fresh Windows install yet.

could be packet corruption or wrong code page?

I think the problem is with GoldED, not Mystic. Maybe the tagline file is corrupted?

I think Nick is using UTF-8 in his tagline file but it's been translated to CP437.

If you logged on to pharcyde with a UTF-8 terminal it might look the way it is supposed to.

    Maybe.. :)

I've seen it a few other places as well. Mostly in messages here and there.

That's Nick Andre's tagline, anyone else see the same if they are in Agoranet with him?
