• Any need for MIS?

I'm running the latest Pre-Alpha 36, and have moved everything I can to MIS2 (telnet, ssh, rlogin, events, ftp, binkd).

Presuming I don't care about nntp support right now, is there any reason to keep running MIS? I see it handles smtp/pop3 but I wasn't sure how that was actually used (internally?)

If it runs well for you, sure. The pre-alphas aren't really made for full
time BBS but if it works it works, go for it.

The POP/SMTP is so you can push private messages to your cell phone or any email client and use that to send and receive BBS messages.
