• Mystic JAM Message Bases

From Black Panther@21:1/186 to All on Thursday, November 16, 2017 18:22:09
    Hi All,

I've had a slight issue with the last few alphas of Mystic. Every once and awhile, I will go into the message index, and it shows new messages in an
echo. When I hit enter on the echo, it doesn't go into the 'read message' screen.

I have even tried changing to that echo, and reading the messages, but Mystic won't show the messages. This seems to only happen with the QWK network bases.

After a day or so, I'll be able to read the messages with no problems again.
Is it possible there is a problem with the JAM message base? If so, what is a good tool to check for errors in the message bases?

Are you running QWKPOLL with a different user/access rights than you are Mystic?

I do have to correct this statement. It has now happened in a FTN network
    base as well...

Nope. Everything is being run as my user. I just use sudo to start the MIS2 server.

that could be your issue, MIS runs it sub-programs (events) under its user own acess/group level

if you run the programs manualy, they are run in YOU access/group level
