• New MIS test

From g00r00@21:1/108 to Skuz on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 12:37:18
I've updated FIDOPOLL and MIS. The last round of logs Skuz sent me gave me some direction, finally!

I have made some changes. I may not have resolved it yet, but I saw an issue and I am moving in at least the right direction now. The error I saw was not with BINKP specifically, but the new socket library that FIDOPOLL and MIS2
    now use.

I have sent you a zip file of logs from fsxNet 1/100 HUB that was running
    build 2017-11-13

Have just updated both the HUB and Agency to run build 2017-11-14 for MIS2
    and Fidopoll.

My earlier logs posted here from Agency were using an earlier version of MIS2 and Fidopoll A36 without the debugging. Hopefully I can catch what's
happening with the suspected issue of not allowing unsecured netmail to be received.

Jeff can you try again please and email me your test poll logs :)

    Best, Paul

Have just updated both the HUB and Agency to run build 2017-11-14 for
    MIS2 and Fidopoll.

Looks like after I updated at 7am things fell over around 9am.

I came home to lots of unprocessed files files in the echomail\in directory. Only mis2.bsy semaphore running in the semaphore directory.
Lots of *.bsy files created around 9.44am local time in the outbound
    directory.

Curious the events system was not being called at all.
Equally curious the mis2.1.log only goes back as far as 14:20 not earlier
    like the fidopoll log.

Also of note when I tried to zip up the log files for you into a zip called fsxnet-hub-logs-ver-20171114.zip I could not get the software to include mis2.txt (0kb) as it was in use.

After I shut mis2 down I suddenly had a 745kb file to include which I did in the second zip file I am sending you fsxnet-hub-logs-ver-20171114a.zip

I reckon the logging of things by MIS2 is a bit wonky, things should be
written to a file a lot quicker than an hour or so after they happen.

I'm now going to post this to you via Agency, restart the HUB and process the incoming flood of messages sitting in the echomail\in directory... I'll first killall the *.bsy files.

Hopefully the logging will help reveal what the cause was.

    Best, Paul

Sure can. I will test poll you /101 from BBBS. I would try also with Mystic but
it is having issues with compiling the Fxsnet nodelist.

Well indeed that is good news.. There is no doubt that I have irex setup correctly acting as Frontdoor 2.25+ type mailer with Fastecho.

I have made some changes. I may not have resolved it yet, but I saw an issue and I am moving in at least the right direction now. The error I saw was not with BINKP specifically, but the new socket library that FIDOPOLL and MIS2 now use.

Very nice.. just to make sure and confirm the it is now working correctly. I had polled hub with 3 other irex point systems, mystic 1.06, pipeline & Remoteaccess. All three system receive their multiple mail bundles in just one secure connection! Very nice.. "This house is now cleaN" .. (: Thanks man!

Awesome news! I hope it stays that way!

Thank you greatly for doing all of that testing for me!

There still seem to be some issues that the FSX HUB is having with the new MIS2 and Fidopoll but I'm working to get it cleaned up.
