• Nodelist Override?

From JeffS@21:1/128.2 to All on Thursday, October 26, 2017 02:02:48
    Hello There,

Currently in Mystic is there a way or a capability to
setup a nodelist override entry for a FTN address?

That way if a node either isn't in the current nodelist
yet or their nodelist entry data has changed. A connection
to that node is still possible.

Hmmm... is this a defined echonode in your Mystic system you speak of or one not known to Mystic by any other means other than a nodelist lookup?

Umm... Currently if I am setting up a sysop with a node number I can add their nodelist entry info to the config here which allows them to be called as if they were in the nodelist. Otherwise one would have to wait until they were added to the nodelist. That very scenario happened to me over the last couple days. As a result I was able to get him assigned, setup, and connecting in hours instead of days, or weeks.

The same would apply if one needed to temporarily over ride a current nodelist entry.

You put them in your echomail nodes list, which takes priority over the nodelist.

Now that was an easy one. :-)

Actually, I thought that might possibly be the case. A different way to accomplish the same task. Cool.
