    Hello g00r00,

Just verifying that I can execute the mailread script using
the L64 11/4 version of Mystic.

You should be able to, yes. I rarely log into my BBS, I almost use that exclusively and its worked fine for me for years.

Just tested here in Windows and linux/64 no issues.

Do you have your permissions right?

Other than for testing I don't login much either. The mailread script looks to be executing fine on Linux based install of Mystic. It is on the Win32 install of Mystic that the execution problem is seen.

    If I execute c:\mystic -uJeff_Smith -p<password> -xmailread

I am returned to the command prompt and "Exiting with Errorlevel 0" is displayed.

If I execute c:\mystic I am presented with a Mystic loin prompt.

Did you forget to copy over the correct MPLC? Is the MPX in the scripts directory? Are you executing Mystic from its root directory? Do you have all your nodes in use or ghosted?

I've tested it on all platforms you use, and it works fine here. I can't even tell you the last time I've logged into my BBS (which runs on Win32) to read messages. It gets ran many times per day here and has for probably half a decade.

Maybe there is something in the errors log or the node logs? Have you
    looked there?

    Hello g00r00,

Did you forget to copy over the correct MPLC? Is the MPX in the scripts directory?

On each release update I update all the executables in the mystic root directory as well as MPLC and MIDE in the scripts directory. I also recompile all the scripts .

Are you executing Mystic from its root directory?

Yes. All Mystic executables are executed from the C:\mystic directory.

Do you have all your nodes in use or ghosted?

I have only ever seen two in use. Usually only node 1.

    Have you looked there?

In the node 1 log when I am trying to login via the mail reader I see:

    ------------------- Node 1 (Mystic v1.12 A36)
2017.11.04 12:14:43 Connect from local (local) 2017.11.04 12:14:43 Shutting down

    ------------------- Node 1 (Mystic v1.12 A36)
2017.11.04 12:15:32 Connect from local (local) 2017.11.04 12:15:32 Shutting down

    ------------------- Node 1 (Mystic v1.12 A36)
2017.11.04 13:28:01 Connect from local (local) 2017.11.04 13:28:01 Shutting down

2017.11.04 13:29:25 Connect from local (local) 2017.11.04 13:29:25 Shutting down

The command line I am using is:

In the c:\mystic directory I execute

    mystic -uJeff_Smith -p<password> -xmailread

At which point I am immediately returned to the command prompt with "Exiting with Errorlevel 0" being displayed.

If it doesn't say you logged in, then you aren't getting logged in so that would imply you never even get to the script part. Did you double check that your account has time left, name and password is right, etc?

I added some extra logging in for the next build so you can see where the
    issue is

Hey I just uploaded those new windows builds for your, so you'll have logging.

See if it helps us determine what happens by looking at the node/error log.

Yeah. I can use the same name and password to login locally just fine. Plenty of time too.

I will try creating another test user and check again.

I will grab it and let ya know. The same mail reader works fine on this
    Win64 Mystic PC. <g>

Instead, I deleted the user that was being used and logged in locally to create
a new user again. Using the same name and password. I also updated to the Mystic that you provided. Between those two actions the mailread script now runs and the mail reader loads.

Thanks for your help with the matter. It is much appreciated

    I've just tested it under Linux/32 and Windows10, both working fine: ------------------- Node 2 (Mystic v1.12 A36)
2017.11.05 09:21:11 Connect from local (local)
    2017.11.05 09:21:16 bcw142 logged in

    2017.11.05 09:21:18 Shutting down

The above was from Linux/32 (Ubuntu). When I run it it asks Graphics Mode
first as that's how I have it set, then Codepage, then Themes, then puts me
in the Indexed Messages as normal with ESC to exit. I don't have a Windows/32 setup to test on at present.

It looked according to my logs as if I wasn't actually being logged in and as a
result of course the script hadn't been executed. On the Win64 and Lin64 versions of Mystic the script was executed fine. I ended up deleting the Win32 Mystic user account and re-creating it. That with a updated Mystic Win32 version I am now able to login and run the mailread script fine.
