• QO display code

From sPINOZa@21:1/116 to All on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 21:44:16
Does anyone have an idea how the |QO (quote of the day) display code can be used. I checked the source code on sourceforge of the open source version and that version has some code that checks for a quotes.dat file. But there is nothing to be found about that file in the documentation. Adding such a file
to the data with some lines of text gives no result at all.

The QO file has to be formatted properly. It's not hard tho. You just have
to have a with a '*' after each quote. I forget where the quotes.dat file goes. It may be either the data or the text dir.

    quotes.dat
    ---------------
    this is a quote
    *
    this is another quote
    *
    this is quote #3
    *
This is a much longer quote
    since it has two lines
    *
    Another quote with
more lines than the first ones
but less lines than you would expect.
