A switch when this is called so that only new messages are displayed and can
be read. If there are no new messages the old messages still in the inbox are skipped and nothing is displayed when the /shownew switch is used.
Just a thought. It would save me having to page down though a bunch of emails
I have kept to get to the new ones.. It would also mean I would only see something if there was something new to see.

The 'END' key can be your friend in that case. :) That's what I use to go
right to the end of the list.

True but only once it's displayed the messages in the inbox and you have got
to the bottom of the list being displayed, that might say 'no new messages'
and assuming there are new messages, once you say yes to read them, then END can get you there quicker.

I'm hoping there's a future state whereby you can negate seeing a list of
read messages and only see new ones if there is something new since last login/check, and when you say yes to reading them your straight to those new messages... no END key harmed in the making of that movie :)

That would be a cool feature. I know I've got about 200 email messages that I've saved. I guess I could get rid of some of them... :)

I just hope the END key doesn't feel left out at that point... I hate to see sad END keys... ;)

One thing to note is this change only applies to the e-mail scanning and listing. For example, if you have no unread messages it'll say you have no e-mail instead of listing everything. If you have 2 unread messages it will only list those 2 messages.

After you answer "Yes" to read email though, its going to open everything up that is in your mailbox once inside the message reader.

Do you recall how you kindly added a /unread switch to check for new email?

    (MC) Check e-mail /UNREAD

Could you please set the default behavior if there are new messages to read
and the sysop says yes to reading them, for the (MC) Check Email command to jump to the first unread message when 'yes' is selected to the prompt '
You have 849 messages (3 unread). Read them now? Yes No

I have a ton of email messages I keep (they contain info I want to hold on to and there is no way to move them off to another storage folder) but when I press Yes then Mystic drops me into the MC menu but displays the first
messages in the inbox (circa 2015) and I must page down or press the end key
to jump to the bottom to see and read the latest new messages to me.

    Thanks for considering this. :)
