• Test refresh

From g00r00@21:1/108 to All on Friday, September 01, 2017 12:42:25
I've updated the A35 test for all but Pi (its still in an unknown box from my move).

    www.mysticbbs.com/downloads/a35test

Please note that its a really good time to start testing MIS2 because MIS is getting closer to going away. Almost no more work is being done to MIS and MIS2 has been around for quite a while now.

If there are problems I need to know about it, as everyone will be required
to use MIS2 soon (ish), time permitting of course.

If you submit reports, please make sure you have the latest test refresh from above before you submit. BINKP debug logging is on, etc.

I just setup mis2 for telnet and noticed my older poll script no longer works from mystic, but works from a shell. If mis is no for telnet does that kill
the events? I have a command in the message menu that runs /mystic/poll but
it doesn't work anymore from there, but if I DD /bin/bash and do ./poll it
runs - something has changed. I'll also try the update process again with today's Alpha ;) I noticed NodeSpy says:
'NodeSpy/Terminal (TELNET) Local Login TELNET (AlphaTest)' now.

Events don't work in MIS2. Neither does FTP. That's why I run both MIS and MIS2 here.

Yes, I run it but telnet is set to no:
    bcw 2648 1 0 15:10 ? 00:00:00 ./mis -d
    bcw 3497 2694 0 15:34 ? 00:00:00 ./mis2 DAEMON

The ftp and others may be running under it - I don't know.
Use Telnet Server No, Use FTP Server Yes, POP3, SMTP, NNTP, BINKP Use Server Yes right now. Are you using the BINKP from mis2 and the other no?

Currently, thats what I do here also. I run both MIS and MIS2 until such a time when only MIS2 is needed to perform all the needed tasks.

I'm not sure if this is another update again from the one I have updated
twice already to? The 1/100 HUB is running v2 of test A35 but perhaps I need
    to update again?

Please note that its a really good time to start testing MIS2 because
MIS is getting closer to going away. Almost no more work is being done
to MIS and MIS2 has been around for quite a while now.

I have MIS2 running for BinkD at the HUB for IPv6 only at this stage and have MIS handling IPv4 and Events. If you can add events system into MIS2 it means
I can move to a full MIS2 set up only for ass services at the HUB.

I have noticed some errors with the incoming IPv6 BinkP sessions. These are
new and were not happening with A34 MIS2

That is not the latest. I think if you are unsure that checking the archive dates on the FTP site might help. I think I've put 4 or 5 different versions up there... the latest have significant BINKP changes.

I haven't made it easy to keep up :)

As of the current A35 there are zero open issues but I don't know if people are testing it yet.
