I've been having a battle with the last three revisions of Mystic 1.12 for Pi. It will work for a while, then the users.dat gets duplicate indexes and I fix it with mbbsutil -fixindex. Then EchoMail gets all messed up, but only some functions. The first one I noticed is I for Indexed Message Reader, for all regular users it kicks (drops them) when they hit I. Oddly as sysop that doesn't happen for me, I works! I'm pretty sure I see that behavior in all three versions, not sure about A31. I've been rebuilding and rebuilding
because of it, and that fixes it till mbbsutil -fixindex is run.
This doesn't happen on the A35 previews on x64 Linux at all, that works correctly. Are there any logs or information I can hunt down to help, or do
you already have an idea where it is?

No, there really aren't any places where there are logs. Its only incremented when the user is created, and the value is stored in MYSTIC.DAT.

I've added in an error check now, and I've updated the node log to include the ID number so it will now say "Created user <Name> #<ID>" and if there is an error updating the index counter it will log to "errors.log" as well.

Usually the problem is MYSTIC.DAT is separated from USERS.DAT but we'll get
to the bottom of it somehow.

Yes, I'm sure that's what happened. I'm rebuilding from a fresh install of
A35 on the Pi so it will all be in sync. Typed most of the old users names
and stuff in. I have mis2 doing telnet & binkp which is all I was using most of the time on mis. mis is doing the rest that I use (NNTP, FTP and the others I don't really use). Some people are having issues with semaphores - I'm not sure about that, things are working anyway.
I need to work on my housekeeping .ini and make the BBS look the way I want,
so will see if anything shows up. Using the latest A35 on all systems now
    (Pi, Ubuntu, Win10).
