But, I was running nodespy today and I was thinking, why couldn't
nodespy be a one stop shop for all that? Maybe have multiple screens on nodespy that would show the BBS activity. Last callers, last binkd connections, or binkd status, maybe even logs?

I think this is a great idea and I agree the Linux side could use a little more
in the way of interacting with their BBS.

As we speak the Linux version of MIS2 is going through a DDoS attack its got 32
connections per second hitting it on a 50 node BBS and its not flinching. >Approaching 100,000 connections total and counting. Gotta love how well Linux >handles this too compared to Windows...

g00r00,
My mystic on Ubuntu on all 3 servers are rock solid. And I think
expanding nodespy with mis2 is the way to go.
Its time to build on MIS2 a bit more. I still need to figure out the
fate of the country blocking and blacklist DNS, both of which last
time I looked did not have IPV6 compatible services. :(

I don't have IPV6 anyway but PLEASE keep country blocking!

Great, I look forward to it. And I'll be glad to move everything over to MIS2 >as well :)

I agree. I host my servers professionally, and still they lack IPv6. I know it's coming, but my
Opinion is take the low hanging fruit first and worry about IPv6 later.
Who knows how long before it's widely adopted.

Mystic already supports IPV6 in MIS2 for all servers, so that is already done.
Its just the third party country and blacklist DNS services that do not support
IPV6 (at least the last time I looked) so that leaves me with no way to >implement those services in an IPV6 server. I need to come up with another >solution.

Yes. Would be even better if the monitoring could be done remotely over the >network. I run my BBS headless, so I have to run nodespy over a SSH session. >Would be nice to have a "BBS console" on the Windows desktop.

Sounds like MIS2 is coming along well. :)

Yes! Nodespy that connects to a service on the bbs with credentials.
With all the monitoring and stuff nodespy has.
That would be awesome. I run my bbs headless as well.
If I get the donations I plan to put up a headless Linux BBS as well
so that I can work on stability and monitoring. Someone has been

I have an extra, brand new (booted once) Raspberry Pi 3B if you want it.
I have an extra, brand new (booted once) Raspberry Pi 3B if youit for compiling and development on Pi. I am currently using an older
Pi and I have been meaning to upgrade to the 3 to speed things up.
Working on the older models can be a bit painful at times.
For the BBS I think I want to run on Ubuntu with an Intel processor.
