Ok, running so good I went ahead and moved Telnet to MIS2 and started running both for now :)

I also have a user reporting grunged Qwk packets since A33 went in. Says he's running SyncTerm and will try to upload a grunged packet for me soon. :) Anything else I should do/ask for? He reported the same thing with A32 but I reverted to A24 after that and it stopped. He reported he fixed a glitch with Win10 that might have caused it, but it's back now with A33 and his system is up to date with MS fixes. Will keep ya posted :)

That does not seem right to me, the BinkD server has been a regular feature
of MIS2 for Windows 32 bit versions for a number of alphas. It's the server I have running for IPv6 although I do not use MIS2 for IPv4, rather leaving

I have been using MIS2 BinkD for many months now (but only for the IPv6 side
of things). On the whole it seems fine. I note the server logging does not
seem to update until I close MIS2 then I see it writes some stuff to the .txt file. The only issue I have noted and not yet pinned down is a file locking thing that happens to some packets in the echomail\in dir that have landed there from a IPv6 node sending them in. MUTIL then runs the importing of them but can't delete the packet so that next time it's run it tries to toss them again etc.

If I figure out a pattern as to when / why I see this happening I'll let you know. :)

Just a FYI.... remember you will want to keep MIS running for now (even if you stop using the other available servers on it) so to ensure your events system remains running.

Also watch you don't have (let's say) the Telnet server running on MIS and
have the same thing configured and running on the same port on MIS2

Different ports, all fine but otherwise there could be probs :)

If you don't mind a newbie Sysop to chime in, could you give me a
simple rundown on how to configure mis2? when I run mis2.exe server, it get a message stating that there's no servers configured. How do I go about doing this?

There is a MIS2 section in Mystic's configuration, where you can configure MIS2 based servers. One gotcha - if you're planning on running on IPv6 under Linux, do NOT configure the servers to answer on IPv4, or use the same port as a corresponding MIS server. By default, Linux will listen on IPv4 as well, if listening on IPv6.

Also watch you don't have (let's say) the Telnet server running on MIS
and have the same thing configured and running on the same port on MIS2

And on Linux, if using IPv6, do not enable IPv4, the kernel will do that for you. Enabling IPv4 on the same port will prevent IPv6 from working.

... MODEM? I've been calling this BBS with a Tarot deck.
