    Hi All,

If anyone wants to use GoldEd+ to read/write mail for Mystic (and just about anything else!) on a Raspberry Pi running Raspian Jesse OS (which it was built on) you can download http://cmech.dynip.com/gedrpi.zip :) which contains just the executable. GoldEd.Cfg, etc will have to be ported/created as well. I ported a 30kB config file and it worked after the 1st edit. :)

    Enjoy !

When I posted a message asking if anyone was running GoldEd on a Pi, I got zero

    response, so I built it myself. What you do on your system is your business :) but my build is also available {chuckle}

RM > As you managed to compile, I have deleted the binary from my

    Why?

Because I assumed that you do not need it longer, as you compiled it yourself. I you still want to take a look I can copy it into the webroot again.

RM > PS: Is the space between the initials and the > there on
    purpose?
Seems more readable to me :)

But it is against quoting style:

"Newly quoted text should be preceeded by the a single space,
a greater than symbol ('>') and another space.

Optionally a field of initials may appear in front of the
greater than symbol, like this: " MR> "."

If you ignore that proper editors will not be able to highlight quote levels.

What are you using to define your message base with Mystic?

Ok, so I now use HPT and golded with mystic so its a bit different. However I used to use golded with straight mystic (using mystics mailer/tosser). I think there is a export of areas now for mystic you can look for somewhere in mutil.ini somewhere, but this is basically what you need to do.. if doing by hand can be a pain in the ass so look for that export areas utility. In golded.cfg you should include a file like areas.cfg for example and in there you would put every area that you want to read from mystic in golded like this.

AREADEF MYSTIC "MYSTIC" 3 Echo JAM \mystic\msgs\MYSTIC 1:000/00 "Mystic BBS support and Chat!"

The "3" was just how I sorted my different networks like fido, fsxnet etc (you can read in golded about area sep) or I could post mine. then have path to mystic msgbase followed by your node and a description. Everything in " " golded will display in main window.

If this doesnt get you started or ive explained it poorly, you can give me a place to send it, Ill send you my old cfg and areas file for you to reference.

Unfortunately, the Win32 package doesn't include any spellchecker libraries. I read somewhere that 'if installed' the Apache OpenOffice suite spellcheck could be leveraged by GoldED.

I'm reaching out to the GOLDED group to see whatthe recommendations might be.

The above works for me although the SCheckerDicPath is different. Just point that to your myspell or hunspell dictionaries. On my slackware box that is..
