• Is this normal behavior for a "Global Personal Scan?"

From Balky@21:1/192 to All on Thursday, March 23, 2017 14:40:00
    Hi,

I tried a "Global Personal Scan" in my Mystic message areas. When I do this
and choose to view the messages, I also see messages that have the "From"
field having my name. But these messages are not addressed to me. Is this normal behavior?

There are additional switches you can add to your data line that will negate those if you wish...

I take it you're calling the 'personalscan' menu?

If you jump in there and edit the MQ line and add a /NOFROM switch that
should nobble the issue for you :)

    [snip]

+ The Message New Scan (MN) now has the option to supply /NOFROM which
will skip over any messages FROM the user. This works in ALL reading
    modes.

+ The Read Messages (MR) now has the option to supply /NOFROM which
will skip over any messages FROM the user. This works in ALL reading
    modes.

+ The Message Quick Scan (MQ) command now has the option to supply
/NOFROM which will not count any messages FROM the user in the scan.

Thanks, Avon. :) Your message helped me a lot to get the desired behavior for message scans. I did some tinkering, and I think I'll be doing a little
    more. :)
