• Importing Echomail areas?

From Jeff Smith@21:1/128 to All on Friday, March 10, 2017 04:29:00
    Hello There,

In a fit of ambition I decided to setup Mystic again as a FSXNET point on a spare 64 bit Linux box.

What I don't recall is whether Mystic allowed or provided the option of importing AREAS.BBS type files OR whether each echomail area had to be manually
setup in Mystic. The ability to import area comes in real handy when one is importing 100's of areas. Currently in BBBS I had initially imported some 670 areas. I wouldn't want to consider doing that setup one by one. Now I don't plan setting up that many areas in Mystic. But I couldn't recall the import possibilities with Mystic.

Yeah, I watched about two minutes then it came back to me about using MUTIL to do the importing.

    Thanks for memory nudging. <g>

The reason for the details is all of us tend to forget these things, so if
you have the question, others do too. I had to re-watch the Global Editor one about a month ago. When adding a point or putting it back to hold EchoMail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVHS2fe8XrA&t=2s

I do the same here, this system I am writing this message is a point that
    I use to read fsxnet.

All areas imported will be created automatically. No need to worry about.

Heck, I forget some things about the software I use on a daily basis. I used MUTIL and a modified ini to import about 195 areas for both Fido and Fsxnet.

They say the mind is the first thing to go away. I forget what the second thing
    was. <g>
