• Message bases vanish!

From Zero Reader@21:1/113 to All on Thursday, September 08, 2016 08:42:00
So yesterday performed a sort on my message bases. This is something I do from time to time as new echoes/nets get added.

After sorting all the boards by network name, I noticed that there were a lot of boards missing. Like 2/3rds of them were just gone.

Fortunately, all I needed to do was restore the mbases.dat file from a recent backup, and everything was back to normal.

Has anyone seen any behavior like this?

Backups are well worth the time!!
I haven't seen this before, the only time I screwed up my message bases was when instead of adding a new base I copied and pasted and didn't rename and then changed a few things in the new one. I think thats what happened anyway
    it cleared all my msgs.
    Cheers,
    Steve
