    Hi All,

I just noticed that when a new user signs up on Mystic, it will assign the
user ID that has already been used. I had someone sign up this morning, and Mystic gave them the user ID of 14, when 14 is already in use. It should have assigned and ID of 16.

Has anyone else noticed this happening? I've also got a couple others that
are duplicated in the user editor. Weird...

I have not, but will keep an eye on it.

I ran mbbsutil and it- fixed them. Just a strange hiccup I guess.

That would have been my next question, if you had run this before reporting
the issue... good catch and well on sorting it.:)

Had you done any user maintenance or moved your data files around?

Sounds like permissions error, like it doesn't have permission to write data\user.dat. What user owns data/user.dat and what user was running? Even Widnows has Users and permissions and that's what it sounds like. Your tag
line show Windows so check owner of \mustic\data\user.dat and if it was
running under that user or Administrator. I do the run as Administrator under Windows before I kick off mis, perhaps it was as the regular user?

Nope. I just happened to look at the user editor to make sure the auto validator was working properly, and noticed the duplicate id numbers.

It doesn't seem to affect Mystic in any adverse way. I'll just keep an eye on it. It might be something for g00r00 to take a look at when he gets back.

I'm running all of my utilities, including mis, under administrator access.

Yes. It renumbered the user base, in an odd order, but at least they all have their own numbers now. :)
