• SSH Query

From Avon@21:1/101 to All on Sunday, January 22, 2017 20:56:00
I recently received the following via the Mystic Guy YouTube channel.

Wondering if anyone has any comments / thoughts?

    [snip]

I installed Debian linux on my VM host and was able to successfully got
mystic up and running as a test best for the SSH issue. I was able to connect properly but found that my SSH sessions would terminate randomly as I browsed the board and always on the demo Black Jack MPL. I decided to reinstall the
OS on my Pi and reinstall Mystic. SSH began to work as expected, but unfortunately has the same random termination issue as Debian. I will test against a different SSH terminal program but I do not have this problem when connecting to any other SSH server. Do you know of any settings that I need
to change in mystic which might affect this?

    [snip]

I note it's when an MPL is being run the issue seems to occur..

    Best, Paul

I noticed SSH connection weirdness as well. Not outright disconnects, but
error messages and such. The SSH implementation seems buggy and not ready for prime-time.

SSH is only available in MIS2 - Yes?

MIS2 is very Alpha - Yes?

I ask because I'm interested. Are people using MIS2 SSH with no real issues? I have not tried it as yet. My understanding is that you can run-up both MIS
ands MIS2 on the same tin. So I might try it.

I know SyncTerm won't talk to Mystic's SSH server.

As I said in my previous post, SyncTerm doesn't talk to Mystic's SSH server. However, PuTTY and Linux ssh both work fine.

. Which side is not properly complying with the spec
    then? Theclient or server?
