  • User logon notifications

    Hi Guys,

    Does anyone know how to disable user logon notifications (i.e. the popup
    screen which appears whenever another user logs onto the BBS.

    I don't know about you, but I find this feature a little annoying.

    Hi Lee,

    The place to look is in the "prelogin" menu, you will see the first item in the command list is this;

    (NS) Send node message 0;|&1 has logged into node |&2.

    If you want to disable it, just change the ACS for it to "%" (a percent sign) or to get rid of it completely, just delete that item.

    Thanks Christian, that seems to have done the trick; I didn't think of
    looking in the login menu DUH!

    Whilst I'm here, can you tell me how you managed to get ANSI codes into your auto signature; whenever I save my signature within Mystic, it seems to
    strip the ANSI out and save it as ASCII. I don't mind an ASCII signature, but ANSI would be much better.

    Hi Lee, glad that helped, due to using Mystic I don't use ANSI codes, I use MCI codes, or pipe codes. If you are unsure of all the colours, search the wiki.mysticbbs.com wiki site for `displaycodes`.

    If you need any more help I will be glad to offer you what knowledge I can.
