Is this a Mystic HUB you're trying to connect to?

No, I am not sure what software they run on their end. I am trying to phase-out IREX as best as I can. I was able to get fidopoll to work well
with binkp connections (like yours, although getting mystic event system to
run it is another matter entirely!), and it works well with "directory polling," but it seems not to like ftp quite so well.

Those were the only error messages I found. Although the logs are a lot more detailed about binkp sessions that what is shown on screen, the ftp session entries are exactly what was shown on screen, which was not much help. :)

I only used BinkP and Dropbox with fidopoll so I'm probably way off base here but just wondering if you are able to connect from
a command line and able to select the /blahblahin and /blahblahout?

Yes, and I am able to cd, ls, and pick up my mail that way also. Made sure
to use the exact creds as they are set up in mystic.

    ok understood

    [snip]

I am not able to get fidopoll to connect to an ftp connection. I keep getting the following error:

    Polling FTP node RRR:N/n
    Connected
    Listing In directory /blahblahin
    Unable to list
    Listing Out directory /blahblahout
    Unable to list

This is with passive set on. If I turn it off, fidopoll crashes right
    after the "connected" message.

    [snip]

So... first thought that springs to mind is do you have the in/out dirs reversed in Mystic?

Yep that's debug code g00r00 added and will one day *hopefully remove* - my logs files are huge! :)

    10-4 big ben.

Another thought, in case it's related to Mystic's ability to pass credentials correctly.... make the login name and password very simple and short, perhaps all same case and only alpha chars etc. and test if that makes a
difference... I expect not because as I type this I recall

    [snip]

    Polling FTP node RRR:N/n
    Connected
    Listing In directory /blahblahin
    Unable to list

    [snip]

so that tells me you at least get a connect, but on second thoughts, it does not say much more.... say, can you ask to see the FTP server logs on the
other end? That may help see what is amiss.

Be careful what you wish for! I "rolled" my current logs over to *.lo0
files. I don't remember changing any other settings, but now my binkd
server log only has single-line entries for every inbound connection.
Really makes tracking issues difficult! <GRIN>

Need to figure out what I did there.

Never did figure out the ftp thing. Decided for now not to migrate any ftp connects from irex to mystic.
