• Call SysOp ON/OFF option?

From Don Rolo@21:4/167 to All on Saturday, March 07, 2020 22:22:04
    option to call the SysOp?

I know you can change the time you, as a SysOp, will get those calls, but... there's a way to turn off/on the option to recieve "calls"?

    Thanks!

Could always remove the option to page the sysop from your menus :)

... As a matter of fact, it IS a banana in my pocket.

Yes, I thinking of that but I want to try/know first if there's another way because I know I gonna miss that option :(

If you don't want to remove the option you can set a window of hours per day that it will work.

In System Configuration > General Setetings there is "Hours Start" and "Hours End" where you can define that window based 24-hour format.

I just noticed the description isn't display properly there so it doesn't
make sense when you select it. I'll fix that to better describe it.

Hmm... Would it work to enter Hours Start: 0 and Hours End: 0 in Configuration
    General Settings?

    Best regards

I know what you mean. Like with VBBS and VAdv you used the "Scroll lock" key
    to toggle sysop availability off/on.

Yes, I use that option, but the thing is my BBS will run in the family PC and
I don't want to be worried about setting the clock when I'm not around (or
just simply forgetting to set the clock...)

    Thanks g00r00!

I like setting the time window, but would also be nice to be able to turn it off without having to change the time in the settings and then have to change it back.
