    is that you're not able to bind to ports below 1024 as a non-privileged user.

    There are a couple ways around this.

    Your best bet for now is to read "The Mystic Ecosystem" page on the mystic
    wiki and watch for where it talks about this, and then research the ideal way to deal with it for your configuration.

    Yep, a commonly encountered issue on Linux. :)

    (as root or with sudo)

    setcap 'cap_net_bind_service=+eip' /path/to/mis

    You'll have to do this every time you upgrade mystic as well.

    What's the setcap method?

    Documented on the Synchronet wiki, and possibly the Mystic wiki as well. What it does is gives permission for a specific binary to bind ports below 1024, while running as a non root user.
