• Changing order of message bases in "A" list command

    Hi,

Is it possible to re-arrange the order of message bases in the "A" command (change message area)? I am unable to re-arrange the message bases under "./mystic -cfg". Probably, I'm not doing it right. How is this done? :)

You'd have to go into Mystic CFG and manually move the bases around by first going to the base you want to start with, hitting / to bring up the menu, C
to copy the base, then move the lightbar to just before the base you want to Paste it to (with / then P), then go back to the originally copied base and
hit / again, then D for delete (when prompted if you want to delete the data file, say No).

I know g00r00 put a Move command in there, but I've never gotten it to successfully work. If anyone else has, and can tell you, awesome, because I'd like to know myself =)

There's also a sort command, so I just tried it. Like the Global Editor use
tab to mark what to sort - except it sorted everything, not just what I
tagged. Not that it really matters. I suspect the Move is something like that as well or just a rename which is a move command. I alias ren=mv to make sure dos commands run the Linux versions (copy=cp and so on) in my .bashrc.

Yes, you use the message base editor and the / menu to copy and then move the base to a new location in the order displayed.

You can also use the global editor to tag sequential bases and apply a sort based on AKA or other types of sort to achieve and alphabetical list etc.

Would you like a video to show you? :)

    Best, Paul

Thanks, maskreet. :) I did what you said, and it's good. :)

Yes, I was also wondering how to use the move command. And I have not successfully used it.
