By the way, I learned something today. For some reason, ubuntu does not
render font-family:"Courier New" the same way that Windows does. I've been developing my website from a Windows 7 workstation and using Chrome as my default browser. When using Chrome on Windows, the "Courier New" fonts look correct. But when viewed on Ubuntu 16.04 (ODROID) with both Chrome and Firefox, the font is rendered in "Lucinda Console". I have to assume it's a windows thing, because "Courier New" doesn't exist as a valid font in Ubuntu. But I was hoping that the font-family would still show something akin to "Courier New".

Ubuntu can load and render True Type Fonts, just not default. Just like it

Yes, Lucinda Console has been the default font for as long as I can remember (at least back to version 6 which was the first I used. You'll have to google it, but you can load your Courier New TTF so Chrome & Firefox can use it.

That's true, and loading TTF in ubuntu will solve MY personal issue of having Courier New rendered properly. But that will do nothing for all the other linux people who have not installed TTF on their systems. It's kinda sad because I want to be a more accurate rendering of a standard BBS font.
