• Setting up custom menus

Are there any resources on how to set up custom menus? Specifically, I'm
trying to set up an ANSI screen with empty zones inside it to place the
    options in.

I saw on the wiki about screen info codes, and that they are depreciated in favor of making .ini files to define zones. But I haven't been able to make
the screen info zones work, and I can't find any documentation on how to set
up menu areas using .ini files.

Can anybody give some insight into how this works?

I am not sure how helpful I can be on this, it's not an area I have played
with much. I know g00r00 introduced the concept of ini files during alpha 38 during 1.10 build. If you check the whatsnew.txt file you will find some references to this there.

Outside of the screens that the ini file structure has been created for I *think* that the other older codes will still work.
