From KB2MOB@21:1/176 to All on Sunday, November 27, 2016 22:40:00
    Hello..

I'm wondering if anyone is currently running any of the Infocom Text
adventures as a door on Mystic, and if so, could I ask what are you using to run the door?

    I'm currently on Linux.

I'm running a bunch of text DOS games on mine, I have a HOW-TO on my site, throwbackbbs.com

    I'm currently on Linux.

Ooh. Okay, maybe not for you then. But they're all available on my door
server, DoorParty. Check out wiki.throwbackbbs.com and check out one of the BBSes connected to DoorParty, see if you like it, maybe sign up! =)

Just the regular DD and the path. So data: /usr/games/adventure
Because they are text only they work well. You can set the colors with a GT command first with the color codes as data.

I'll check that out too. But I'll see what the HOW TO says.. I'm pretty handy at hacking things together. Maybe I can get lucky..

I've found that many linux-native apps that use curses will not display correctly if used as a door on Mystic. Have you had better luck than me?

Check out the FROTZ interpreter at http://frotz.sourceforge.net. I used it
to get zork games to run on my Pi. I have not had any success getting the display formatting to work when I use it as a mystic door tho. But YMMV.

Yep, that is what I tried first, and prompted my original post. OH well..
I'll keep looking for something. :)
