    Hello all

I remember a while back someone asked about changing a setting so you could enter a number say (22) then you could hit enter instead of 0 to 9 or A to Z.

Anyone remember where I look for that so I can set my doors up (1) through
    (28)

    Thanks before hand.

Hey Havok, you can just enter whatever you like in the HOTKEY field, so if
you wanted a menu item with the command "AB12" then just type "AB12" in the HOTKEY field and then in the menu that has this new command, when you press
"A" as long as there is a menu item with "A" as the first letter and
something else after, it will wait until the next letter/number is pressed, this will just allow "AB12" to be typed and once the final character is
entered it will run that menu.

You don't need to do anything specifically clever to do this, just put something in the HOTKEY field and it will become the menu item command.

    Simples =)

There's actually two different ways of doing this. If you want it just for
one menu, it can be done from the menu settings. Go to mystic -cfg, then Editors, then Menu Editor, then scroll to the menu you would like to change, probably 'doors', hit enter, then hit / and Settings. From that menu, there
is an option called Input Type. That can be changed to Long Key, Hot Key, or User Defined. The Long Key, will require the user to hit enter after typing
in the number, in your case, 22.

The other way to do it, is via the user editor. It can be set across the
board (no pun intended). All of the menus would require the user to hit enter if the Hot Key was set to No.

    Hope that helps.

Sort of along this same line I've seen some boards that used all 2-digit hotkeys for their doors, like 01,02,03....10,11,12...20,21,22,...etc.
Using a single digit as the first 10 doors, if the user wanted doors 10-19, entering 13 for example, would launch door 1, entering 24 would launch door 2 and so on, and not wait for a second digit.
Making the first 10 entries 2-digit worked around that, and kept hotkey function
    intact.
